I took a few shot of my paper cans, at a different angle this time.

Crumpled
Here a some photos of what other materials look like after being flattened out after being wrapped around the aerosol can and being distorted.
Tinfoil
Brown Paper
Canvas
White
I found that my texture work was really effective and some white A4 sketchbook paper I had so I decided to repeat the process a couple of times to see what interesting lines I could make. I think I will use the lines I have created here in a different way further along my project.
Imitations
I took down my can photos from my wall and put them in my sketchbook. To incorporate my new work with them i used them as templates to cut around some of the texture paper I had made to imitate the texture of the can.
Paper Cans
I tried out this paper crumpling technique with many different types of paper to see the effects I could achieve. I really enjoyed this work and I think it is taking my project on a good direction.
Heavy duty tracing paper
Tinfoil
Brown Paper
Sketchbook paper
Black bag
Progress
To help move my project on from focusing on Coca Cola can and bring back around to destruction, Elaine gave me some really helpful guidance by saying I shouldn't look at the coke logo as much but look at the structure of the destructed can. So I started working on a small can model in response to that, complete with the twists and turns of the can I have been looking at.
After that, Elaine showed me some useful techniques to further my work of this kind. She showed me how by wrapping a type of paper around an aerosol can, for example, and then shoving the paper down, you can recreate the shape of a can aswell as showing lines of destruction.
Drawing from can Photos
From the series of photos I took of the cans I decided to make a drawing focusing mainly on the distorting lines.
I then decided to photocopy it and try some different things with it. First, I added colour.
Then I moved on from the idea of the colour of the can to the texture of it which I think represents the theme of my project more accurately. So, I folded the picture over on every line to see what kind of texture I would end up with.

Cutting Cans- Part 2
Here are a sample of the photographs I took when I examined the cans that I had cut a little more intensely.
I also took a video that examined how the cans bounced once they were placed on top of each other.
